Lesson 1

In the first part of this lesson, an instructive game of the late world champion Alekhine is examined with the following theme: Opening Principles and when to make exceptions. In the second part, some basic concepts in King and Pawn versus King endgames are discussed. One of the important topics is how to hold a passed Pawn with your King. The lesson ends with the Miracle in Chess which features an endgame composition by legendary GM Benko.
