Beating 1.Nf3 with NM Viktor Neustroev
NM Neustroev Reveals…
А complete system for dismantling White’s hopes and dreams after 1.Nf3, no matter what setup they go for!
Every competitive player knows the importance of good opening play. It sets you up for the rest of the game.
That’s why we’ve spent so much time and effort creating our new Opening Lab series – practical advice for ambitious players, delivered by expert coaches.
And our first Opening Lab course answers one of the most common questions we get…
What should you do against 1.Nf3?
Most players just try and transpose to their favorite e4/d4 opening…
BIG mistake!
You’ll see Sicilian players getting caught out with 1.Nf3 c5 2.c4! and Ruy Lopez players being tricked with 1.Nf3 Nc6 2.d4! After just 2 moves, they’re stuck in an unfamiliar opening.
Don’t let White dictate the game! Take matters into your own hands with Beat 1.Nf3 with NM Neustroev…
This 9.5 hour Opening Lab course shows you how to actively exploit the problems with White’s first move instead of reacting with standard moves.
By following Viktor’s analysis of top games, you will add a ton of anti-Nf3 ideas to your repertoire.
Ideas like:
- The c2 exploitation. Nf3 followed by d4 is a very common try by White. But it allows Black to get a nasty attack on c2 with a bishop and knight combo. Even if White plays well, this gives you better activity – if they make a mistake… it’s all over!
- The g3 exploitation. “Solid” players love to protect themselves with a kingside fianchetto… learn how to smash it with the Nakamura attack! A few key moves leave White suffocating on the first two ranks. Get your forces in position, open lines, check and mate! (See Hikaru’s textbook conversion in lecture 5).
- The e4 exploitation. Time and again White delays e4, preferring to go for a big center later on with moves like d3 and f3. Don’t give him the chance! In lecture 6, Viktor reveals a weird-looking but powerful pawn formation that stifles White for the entire game!
NM Neustroev starts each lecture with typical tactical positions in the featured variation, making sure you know how to finish the game early when the opportunity arises too.
